December 21 World Novel Heroes Day Event

Under the umbrella of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, "December 21 World Novel Heroes Day", first held at Maltepe University in 2012 and was later celebrated by various institutions across Turkey, was celebrated with a special event at our university this week. Faculty of Letters, Department of Western Languages and Literatures and BEKET student community along with Assist. Prof. Gülden YÜKSEL, the coordinator of the community, organized this event within the scope of the 100th anniversary celebrations of our Republic, students introduced and portrayed different novel characters.

In this event, which aimed to provide a platform where students can bring the characters of novels to reality with the literary treasures of many cultures that shaped their lives, it was also emphasized that the day of December 21, known as the 'longest night', reminds us of the importance of wandering in the darkness and looking for the light even in the most difficult moments on the heroic journey. With the performances staged by the students, the magical world of literature once again opened its doors to the audiences. We would like to thank everyone who supported the achievement of this event.
