Simultaneous Translation at the 4th International Mediterranean Literature Days

In collaboration with Muğla Metropolitan Municipality, Bodrum Municipality, and the Livaneli Foundation, the fourth International Mediterranean Literature Days was held on June 20–21, 2025, in Bodrum in memory of the legendary actress Filiz Akın, who passed away at the age of 82. During this event, Dr. Lecturer Göksenin Abdal, Research Assistant Fatma Yücel Dinç, and our graduate student Tarkan Alpay Kırboğa provided simultaneous translation from Turkish to English for the international participants. We thank them for interpreting the speeches of many politicians, artists, and literary figures, including Muğla Metropolitan Mayor Ahmet Aras, Bodrum Mayor Tamer Mandalinci, writer and musician Zülfü Livaneli, and actress and director Türkan Şoray.
